Letter, ms under printed head. Addressed to Peter O'Brien, Bank Place, Limerick, 26 June 1841, and signed James Dudgeon & Son, agents. Printed head "County Fire Office and Provident Life Office,/ Regent-Street, London/ And/ Bank, Henry-Street, Dublin." Reminder that the premiums for assurance on the life of Mr. Francis Gore are late and a fine likely. Single sheet folded to form four pages, first of which has printed heading with text under; folded then four times to form cover; remains of red seal bearing imprint of which "[F?]ire" and "[L?]ife are legible. Unperforated penny red postage stamp, on bluish paper, of Victoria. Cancellation on stamp, a Maltese Cross; on reverse, circular black "Limerick/ Ju 27/ 1841" and red lozenge in which "3 A/ JU 26/ 41". Paper embossed at top left with a small circle in the centre of which is a crown with "Dublin/ No P..." and watermarked "GW/ 1833" Perforations through paper at both left and right edge as folded for posting.
