Letter, Ms., to Peter O'Brien, Stamp Office, Thomas Street, Limerick, from G[eorge/ or Gerry] O'Callaghan, Maryfort, 27 Aug. 1846. Re. order of sherry from wine store; will have car in Limerick on following Saturday and can collect it if packed. In black ink except for "DB/ 282" at top left of first page, in blue. Single sheet of paper folded in half and written on first two sides, then folded four times to form cover, trace of red seal on reverse. Unperforated penny red postage stamp of Victoria, on bluish paper, at top right front. Lozenge shaped cancellation, "437" at centre between parallel lines. Cancellations on reverse "Tulla" in black as a single line and, partial, in blue "[Lim]erick/ AU 27/ 846/ E". Perforation at centre of unfolded letter.
