Badge, cap badge of Royal Munster Fusiliers. Convex front; in outline the ball of a grenade, lit and spluttering. On ball is an applied royal tiger, standing looking left, with motto on scroll under "Royal Munster". Tiger and motto in silver remainder in brass. In the concave reverse are three small rectangular slits which are probably connected with fixing the applied portion at front. Badge is held with a vertical safety pin catch, pin silver coloured, hinge and eye brass. In centre of badge and in area of flames, are short stumps, suggesting that the pin may be a repair of an old fastener.
