Ladle, Limerick silver soup ladle by Henry Downes. Hemispherical bowl, waisted, round pointed handle, curving away from bowl from one third of the way up. Large sharp ended shield shaped drop. Crest, a griffin head with mouth open rising from a coronet, inside an oval of punched D-shapes with dots between the Ds. Marks on reverse at narrowest part of handle; "HD" in a rectangle struck either side of "Sterling".
