Clay tobacco pipe made for John Clune, tobacco manufacturer, Limerick, c. 1880. Imitation briar. Upright cylindrical, slightly bulbous bowl with flat rim with traces of a slight ridge around bowl below rim. Stem broken off near bowl. Bowl stamped on stem face within oval groove: Land League, a faint shamrock in centre. The number 19, raised, on one side of the stem and the beginning of an inscription below this. Raised blank rectangle on the opposite side of the stem.
