Pattern makers tool of J Finnan. Iron. Consists of a nearly square plate of iron bent along the centre at right angles, the angle sharp externally, with a square plate handle copper-welded on the inside of the angle at the centre at right angles to the long axis. The handle is formed of a sheet doubled, the ends of which are splayed at one edge for welding to the plate. Each face of the handle has traces of ornament in the form of a circle (partial) of engraved V-shapes or zig-zag line.
