Spoon, serving, Dublin silver by John Pittar, 1805. Fiddle pattern. Pointed oval bowl with a broad semi-oval drop. Down-turned handle end, with a small narrow lobe on the underside. Handle engraved Limk City Mess on an oval garter, horizontal grooves across lower half of garter, surrounding the castle of Limerick city arms, the castle towers with broad bases, central tower conical with pennant with divided end flying l. Rounded portcullis closed. Four holes on garter. Marks: J.P. in rectangle with clipped corners, H (1805), harp, Hibernia, spaced out on underside of handle.
