Spoon, serving, Dublin silver by John Pittar, 1807. Fiddle pattern. Pointed oval bowl with a broad semi-oval drop. Down-turned handle end, with a broad thick lobe on the underside. Handle engraved Limerick City Mess on an oval garter surrounding the castle of Limerick city arms, the castle with high narrow turrets to each side, a central dome with point-ended pennant flying l. Rounded portcullis closed. Five holes on garter. Marks: J.P. in rectangle with clipped corners, K (1807), harp, Hibernia. Repair to bowl - handle join visible in bowl; two dents on one side of bowl lip
