Pistol. Percussion cap travelling pistol by Colgan, Limerick. Octagonal barrel, supported underneath by the stock for its entire length, ornamented with incised wavy lines. The other metal parts are ornamented with floral patterns. Rounded round-bottomed handle, ornamented with closely spaced criss-crossing. The head of the hammer is in the form of a fish, scaled, but without head details. The side plate on the hammer side is inscribed Colgan, and the top of the barrel Limerick.
