Table barometer, anerod, copper alloy and white metal, by Wallace, Limerick. Late 19th century? Barometer, circular copper alloy, glass-fronted case. Stamped on back of case, in a circle, at the 4 compass points beginning at N, H,B.,H. Metal pointers on central pivot, the one for reading extending through pivot to terminate in a spear point at one end and crescent moon at the other, the one that sets position for comparison does not extend beyond pivot, and terminates with spear head. Face, discoloured, has weather conditions around the upper half, with curving mercury filled thermometer in botom half.. Wallace/Limerick below the pivot.
White metal base, circular, has central pillar with two cherubs playing around it, with a basket of fruit at centre front, and at centre back a set of bagpipes resting on panpipes. On top of the pillar is a curving copper alloy mount to receive the barometer.
