Beam, wood, section of. Rectangular cross sectioned, but with one curved corner running the length of the beam under 3 carved inscriptions. Inscriptions all done by removal of wood from around the letters and frame, so that letters are flush with surface of beam. Inside a house-shaped pentagonal frame ".P./ .R. L."; in a rectangular frame "Anno/ Domni/ 1634"; and in rectangular frame "G.S." Upper back edge of beam has woodworm damage. Removed from 20 Broad St. See JRSAI 1910, Vol. XL., p.351.
