Map. A Map of the City Based on the Civil Survey of 1654; by Claire Lane, VIII 1988. Irishtown section. Black ink on tracing paper. Using the 1840 Ordnance Survey map as a base, Lane tried to map the properties detailed in the Civil Survey. The properties are numbered by page reference to the printed version of the Survey and also in a running sequence. To cross reference one needs the Museum copy of the Civil Survey which has the numbers pencilled in. Scale given at bottom right as 6 inches to one mile, changed in pencil to 5ft. This is a draft map the corrected version is with the author.
