Poster. Town of Rathkeale, to wit the following by-laws, having been made by the Rathkeale Town Commissioners and submitted to the Lord Lieutenant, His Excellecy has been pleased by Order bearing date 14th July to approve and confirm the same:- Towns' Improvement (Ireland) Act 1854 with respect to Slaughter Houses Two laws one relating to cleanliness the other stating that slaughter should not be near doors of the house, i.e. on public view. Signed David O'Hanlon MD JP and Stephen Casey, Town Clerk, Town Commissioners' Office April 17th 1860. Printed black on white by The Munster News, 5 Rutland Street, Limerick. In plain narrow black wood frame, glass fronted. Cardboard back held in place by several panel pins. Eye for fastening at centre top.
