Postcard, colour, aerial. The Redemptorist Church Mount St Alphonsus, Limerick, Ireland. Slightly out of focus view of the church,spire at centre of shot with church, west front visible, and quadrangle next to it. Title in bottom margin in Irish and English, also number HT64354. Reverse printed in black; at top left, Facing Quin Street at Mount St Alphonsus Limerick is the/ Redemptorist Church. A Gothic style edifice by P C Hardwick/ (built 1856-62) it has an impressive interior containing a/ heavily ornate High Altar and above on the semi-dome of the apse, brilliantly coloured mosaic work. The men's Confraternity/ which meets here under the direction of the Redemptorist/ Fathers is the largest in the world, having a membership of/ about 10,000; at centre top a plane under a legtn of film, Aero Views Ltd/ Dublin; up centre as divider, A reproduction of a real colour photograph by Aero Views Ltd Dublin; to right of centre Post Car/ Address Only/ M, followed by 5 address lines over, Printed in Republic of Ireland; box for stamp at top right in which, Postage/ Stamp/ Here.
