Sadlier offered by Mr Hortman? to name a person to be warder at Spike Island prison; asks Lenihan if William Clarke would be suited, or if not, Sadlier will recommend anyone that Lenihan nominates. Embossed in oval, House of Commons over crowned royal arms in garter. One sheet, white, folded, written four sides. No watermark. H. 20.0 W. 12.7 Envelope marked Private on flap by Sadlier. Red wax seal with crowned hc over House of Commons embossing on flaps. Two faded circular postmarks R/, one of Limerick 28 Apr. Stamp removed. Sender written on envelope by Lenihan.
