Letter, William Smith O'Brien to Robert O'Brien, Ashbourne, Limerick, Feb 1844. As For my movements I intend to go wherever I think my presence will be most useful, whether my conscientious convictions carry me to Parliament, to Constitution Hall, to a Prison or to a cottage. I hope you will write no more in the same str(ain) as it can do no good to any one. I remain etc. One sheet folded as an envelope and sealed with red wax, which has caused tearing on the pages. Seal bears O'Brien crest, upraised arm with sword. Stamp removed. R/ postmarked in a lozenge 2 / FE 17 / 44 in red, and a circular Limerick, FE 18 1844, in black.
