From Mayor Bobby Byrne and City of Limerick to reception at Mary Immaculate College, Oct 1 1979, in honour of visit by Pope John Paul II and the awarding of freedom to Cardinal O'Fiaich, apostolic Nuncio Dr Gaetano Alibrandi and Bishop Jeremiah Newman. Sheet of card with folded paper insert. Cover has arms of Limerick and RSVP to City Manager. Insert has the invitation on the front, repeated with greater details on the inside, including arms of those receiving freedom, and with copy of freedom awarded to the pope on the back.
