Image shows a wounded man seated in a comfortable chair, tended by O'Connell as house-keeper, four men at left cut up a paper with 22 on it, while one other looks on and one stands behind chair, elbow on chair back, head in hand. Persons, unidentified, Mr Sheil, Lord John Russell, Lord Melbourne, Mr Spring Rice, Mr. O'Connell, Lord Normanby and Lord Morpeth (for identifications see separate sheet in correspondence file).
