Conveyance, typescript on paper. Copy of conveyance from the Commissioner for sale of Incumbered Estates in Ireland to Major George Gavin of part of the lands of Kilpeacon, dated 27th Nov 1850. Copy from 1890s. Montifort Longfield and Charles James Hargreave, commissioners, to George Gavin, major in 16th lancers, to credit of Edward Crips Villiers, owner and Arthur Sayers petitioner. Lands of portions of Kilpeacon Newtown and Bawnacowma, subdivisions of Kilpeacon. S. Woulfe Flanagan Reg. on list of signatories as is William Roche and Thomas Butler as witnesses. Schedule referred to in deed lists tenants as James Peacocke, Thomas McCarthy and Thomas Morrisy, with reference to lease held on life of Edward Croker eldest son of John Croker of Ballinaguard. Memorial noted in registry of deeds, by John E Chapman. Written one side of three sheets, fastened with split fastener with fourth sheet as wrapper. Short length of paper folded over top left corner, through which the fastener passes at front and back; typed on this, Yeates/ Scriveners & Typist, 74 Dame St., and 13 Upr. Ormond Quay, Dublin. The whole folded in half laterally and half again, with contents annotated on outside. P.S. Connolly & Co, 1 Capel St., Dublin and, Limerick at bottom. Pencil annotation on wrapper dated 1895.
