View along curving shore, sea to right; low cliffs on far side of bay, giving way in middle and foreground to a sandy beach with pebbles above high water. Several houses inland and on shore a sprinkiling of people, some going into water. Title at bottom inside white margin. R/ printed grey, headed Post Card, short underline and vertical divide broken by Real Photo Production. Eire commemorative 2p purple-brown postage stamp, with image of old man in hat with O Criomhthain at centre bottom, part of solid outline for stamp below. Circular cancellation only partly legible, ..o?obaltaig. Addressed to Miss Marie Bourke, Ballymarsough Rathkea, Co. Tipperary, hoping she enjoyed Salthill etc. will see you Monday at the junction.
