Tipperary, daughter of John Bayly, 2nd part; Sir Croker Barrington 3rd part; John Bayly, 4th part; and Richard Edmund Bayly of Debsborough and John Napier George Pollock, J.P of Mountainstown, Co Meath, hereinafter called the Trustees; dated 23rd July 1887. Mentions in text of; action Greene v Barrington; Joseph Walker, Samuel Bagot, Croker Barrington and Joseph Barrington acting as trustees; life interest of Ann Barrington; preference stock of Great Southern and Western Railway of Ireland; Scottish Equitable Assurance Co. policies. Written on four sides of parchment, with text reading from the lowest upward; lower sheet larger and bottom edge folded up and the four sheets held together at each side with short strip of parchment; also three strips of green tape, each bearing two red wax seal, with the signature of the parties around the seals. Same seal matrix used for all six, a profile of a man within an oval. Row of five Revenue stamps down left side, all red on white paper. From top down; circular with four pointed projections, "Commissioners of Inland Revenue" around Royal arms with lion and unicorn supporters , "24" to left and "9" to right of crown, all over "Adjudged/ Duly Stamped/ 87[in circle]"; rectangular with clipped corners, a helmed Greek god's head, Minerva? in central rectangle, "Twenty/ Pounds/ 23 9" at top "87" at centre bottom surrounded by scroll extending up sides; multifaceted, same god's head in central circle "87" in circle at top "23 9/ Seven/ Pounds" at bottom, scroll around sides; shield shaped, Royal arms with lion and unicorn supporters, "23 9/ 87/ Fifteen Shillings"; a rectangle with curving bottom edge and curves out of each corner, a crown at top flanked to left by "J/ 23" and to right by fleur-de-lis over "9" all over a scroll containing, shamrock, rose and thistle, over "87/ Ten Shillings". Each stamp has small lead strip though centre, and on reverse of each is a black on white stamp with a crown over "VR" monogram. On bottom stamp continuing to parchment circular black rubber stamp, "London/ [a crown]/ 23/9/87/ W." In pencil above upper stamp "Docket ad/ £28/5/-" at top of first page "£27. 15/-/ & 10/- GB/ 20 9 87" crossed out; "2773" in ink at top right. At top left of first page is a typed page of paper, with blue margin attached with a brass split pin. It is dated 29 Nov 1926 and refers to right of Scottish Equitable Life Assurance Society to production of documents referred to in settlement, refers to settlement and the appointment of new trustee in 1907, and is typed Signed R.E. Bayly and witness C.H. Waller, Summerville, Nenagh. Partial watermark "Note" The whole folded latitudinally, twice, then twice, once from each side towards middle. Signatures witnessed on reverse, by Andrew Nash?, Barrington's Bridge, Croker Barrington Solicitor, and Richard Edmund Bayly. Outer cover annotated as to contents and marked "No.5/ Box 10"; one other outer side marked "Fair Copy. Barrington Son?/ 13/2/56" in pencil the other "?????/ 2773??". 1997.0242-244 are held together by a length of red tape.
