Printed border around text; scenes incorporating the work of the order, military and hospital, incorporated into the border. Latin text. Name of recipient added in manuscript to printed manuscript style text. Signed by the procurator and chancellor, both signatures unclear. Rubber stamped with seal of the Grand Master of the Sovereign order of Malta; title in Italian on outer ring around s crowned shield on a Maltese Cross. On outside of border at bottom is its registration number 11780; number in manuscript; At bottom right M. Danesi S/A Roma. All in black on white. Plain brown wood frame with repeating leaf motif around outer edge. Card backing, glass front.
