Lease, printed and ms. on paper. Indenture; lease by George Evans, Wilton Crescent, Middlesex capt RN and John Evans of Chudleigh Devonshire, capt. East India Company, of house on Charlotte's Quay, to John Ryan, publican, of Georges Quay, dated 8th October 1842. House partly late held by John Duggan, bounding onto Martin Roohan's and Mr Daly's properties. Signed by Ryan and witnessed for him by Matt McNamara, but lessors have not signed. Printed with the stock phrases and paragraphs, with detail filled out by hand. Royal arms in crowned garter inside the initial T, with "Printed by Order of the Honorable/ the Commissioners of stamps 1841" to left of T. Stamp duty embossing at top left "Ireland" over crown flanked by "A" and a harp, over "Fifteen/ Shillings". Rubber stamped "Limerick" in red-brown and "4/ Pence" in circle at top left. Top and bottom folded towards centre, then in half; then both ends to centre and in half. Outer side annotated with contents with "Geo Gloster. Attorney" at bottom. Watermarks; fleur-de-lis over shield over "J&M" ; Prince of Wales feathers over "Johnston & Molineux/ 1841"
