Medal, bronze, University of Limerick 25th anniversary, 1972 - 1997, designed by Thomas Ryan. O/ centre, a salmon, flames above and below, a left fist touching it below with the back of the hand between the first and second knuckles. Above, curved, raised, University of Limerick; below, curved, smaller in Irish script, An bradan feasa (the salmon of knowledge). Designers initials, TR, to r. of bottom of fist above 'fe' of feasa. R/ Arms, three shields on crossed maces in olive sprigs, shield top centre with harp, bottom l. with castle of Limerick city arms, bottom r. with stag rampant looking backwards to each side of T-shape over chevron over castle of Limerick city arms. Above, curved, University of Limerick. Below, corved, 25th Anniversary 1972-1997. Designers initials, TR, above ends of olive sprigs. Flanged edge each face, edge plain. Surface laquered.
