Deed, ms copy on parchment, John Tuthill (3rd son of John Villiers late of Dublin and Elizabeth Villiers nee Jackson, his wife) of Limerick city to George & Jeremiah Tuthill, August 1814; whereas by indenture dated 20 April 1811 between John Villiers and George & Jeremiah Tuthill which recited that John Villiers had caused 20,000 pounds 3 per cent Bank of England annuities to be transferred into the joint names of George & Jeremiah; true intent that John Villiers during his life would benefit from the dividends of same, and afterwards Elizabeth and afterwards their children; trustees with consent of John & Elizabeth can sell the 20,000 annuities and invest in parliamentary stocks or land; by another indenture also dated 20 Apr 1811 between John Villiers and George & Jeremiah, after reciting that all the estate of Baron Annally, for lives renewable forever, was vested in John Villiers, John Villiers vested in George & Jeremiah a plot of land at Stephens Green, Dublin, 30 ft long, bounded on N by house of William Dunne, on S by holding of George Paul Monk, on E by Stable Lane and on W by Stephens Green - for lives of George Prince of Wales, Prince Frederick bishop of Osnaburg and Prince William Henry & such others added by virtue of covenent of perpetual renewal recited in indenture dated 18 Nov 1772 between Gustavus Hume & Henry Gore, afterwards Baron Annally; and whereas by indenture dated 23 July 1814 between Elizabeth & George Tuthill of Dublin and Jeremiah of Limerick of 2nd part, John Tuthill of Limerick, Rev Christopher Tuthill Villiers of Webbville in S Liberties of Cork, Thomas Tuthill Villiers of Limerick, Catherine Massey otherwist Tuthill, wife of Hon Edward Massey of Chester & Edward Masser of 3rd part, she directed that the 20,000 should not be sold; that one fifth of it be vested in her four youngest sons to hold as tenants in common, one fifth to Catherine Massey; as John Villiers now dead, John Villiers, his 3rd son, also receiving one fifth, he is desirous to make provision for his several children by his wife, ... Cripps, now dead: five (sic) children, all Tuthill, John, Robert, George, Margaret, Elizabeth, Catherine, and Dorothea, all minors, this witnesses that he vests his fifth in George & Jeremiah in trust for children to be divided as directed in his will. No seals or signatures. Two sheets attached at the bottom, the first at the back, each with blue revenue stamp. Folded, outer folded surfaces very dirty.
