Inkstand of Gerald Griffin (1803-1840): cut glass ink bottle. Consists of a cube base, all edges faceted, with a vase shaped hollow in the centre top, a short neck around hollow bearing a hinged copper alloy connection to the lid, the hinge stamped Patent. Hollow octagonal lid, dome shaped with flat top. The base has been broken and repaired, with part of one corner missing.
