Extreme left, fifth arch of bridge, extreme right, SW tower of castle. Left foreground, a stone jetty into the river, a boy standing at it, some rowboats moored behind. Down left lower third, joining the drawing above, city arms of Limerick with motto, above a scroll to the left of which are shamrocks, and below, water lilies. The right two-thirds of the lower half of the card are blank for message. Title, small black letteringleaning leftwards, above, right of centre, "Limerick" in large red script below drawing towards centre of card. R/ printed green, headed "Post Card / the address only to be written on this side". Victoria halfpenny stamp in each of the top corners, postmarked Athenry / 11.45 pm / MR 23 / 01. (March 23rd 1901).
