Postcard, colour, landscape format. broad white margin across bottom, containing the title at left and right sides "The Shannon at Limerick", with "Copyright Guy, Limerick" at bottom left. View along the quays looking north, with Sarsfield Bridge cut by left edge in distance, and tower of St. Mary's; in foreground is a boy sat on a pile of rope and another on the edge of the quays; a twin funneled paddle boat and five sailing ships are tied up along the quays. Early type card with message on front, dated 23-10-03, from WFK; re putting ribbons on pigs. Reverse printed in black; at top "Post Card Great Britain & Ireland". Blue green half penny postage revenue stamp of Edward VII, definitive issue; at top right. Circular cancellation "Limerick/ 3 30/ Oc 23/ 03". Addressed in black ink to Mrs Warren Snell, Arran, Marlborough Road, Croydon.
