Postcard, colour, portrait format. Title at bottom right "St. John's Cathedral Limerick", with 12072 down left side. View taken across the Square of the west front of the building, with drinking fountain to left; horse and trap outside gate and c 12 schoolchildren standing around it. Reverse printed in green "Post Card" at centre top with vertical division line below slightly left of centre; to left "This space may be used/ for communication / in the British Isles Only/ (Post Office Regulation)"; to right of centre "the Address only to be/ Written Here"; box for stamp at top right in which "inland/ 1/2d/ Stamp/ Foreign/ 1d". Not used. Pencil dealer's marks "A", "Limerick" and "£1.50".
