Grant, manuscript on parchment. Counterpart of fee farm grant from Rt. Hon. William Henry Tennisson, Earl of Limerick to Edward Gloster, Lieut in 38th regiment (S. Staffordshire) dated 16th Nov. 1853. Plot of land in question borders George St on north and on south by land formerly waste of Lord Pery, land to east and west not described but refrence is made to a map. Reference made to earlier leases of 1800 between Rt. Hon Edmond Lord Viscount Pery and Robert O'Callaghan Newenham, on lives of the lessee and William Deane Hoare and Rachael Hoare and 4th Dec 1823 between Edmond Henry Earl of Limerick and Edward Gloster (father of the Edward above) who inherited from Robert, inserting Richard Gloster 4th son of George Gloster in place of William Deane Hoare deceased. Reference to act converting renewable leasehold to tenure in fee of Victoria 12 & 13. Two sheets of parchment fastened together at bottom; bottom of larger lower sheet turned up at bottom and the wole held by strips of parchment at either side and two pieces of red ribbon at centre, each with seal in red wax. No design on wax. Signed by the two parties, Gloster signing himself as Captain of the 38th reg. Upper sheet, stamped "Limerick" in red and "2 Sh/ 6 Pen" in a circle in black, both at top left over blue paper with stamp duty embossing, "Ireland" over a crown over "Two Shillings/ Six Pence" in a cartouche. Lower sheet stamped "Limerick" in red at top left and "1SH 4 Pen" in a circle in black; two blue paper stamp duty embossings, the upper "Ireland" over a crown over "Five/ Shillings"" inside a cartouche; the lower "Ireland" over a crown over "G III R" monogram over "Counter/ Part" with "Ad valorem duty paid" around it. All three embossings have strip of lead through centre, and sealed on back with a paper stamp printed black on white with a crown over Victoria's monogram. Folded from bottom up to centre, then again to half-way and the final leaf folded back in opposite directio; then folded in three from sides. Annotated as to contents on outer fold and numbered "73" with "Dartnell" at bottom right. Also marked "Rental 100/ [illegible signature]" and "30" in black ink; also "2" in blue pencil and plain pencil,
