Border l., upper, arms on shield, l. three lions passant, r. lion rampant, on oval, head above, floral swag below with central smiling devil's head pinned to the oval through the ears, nymph on crown above between scrolling acanthus leaves; below, pair of winged nymphs holding sceptre and sword over crown over shield bearing three fleur-de-lis on oval, all supported by a man in loincloth, a griffin to each side of his legs. Border r., acanthus scroll with crowned shields, one with Irish harp, one with royal arms, and in one scroll towards bottom, rose and thistle. In text, by will of Charles, Earl Whitworth, Lieutenant General of Ireland. Enrolled in high court of chancery in Ireland, 28 July 1817, signed Hogan? Wogan? deputy master of the rolls. Signed by Thomas Barrington in centre of lozenge formed by seal suspension string (seal missing). Blue revenue stamp attached to l. of text. Folded and titled on the outside front, and entered in the attorney general's office Aug 9, 1817. Dirty with foxing, holed at one double-fold corner
