Badge, silver, masonic. Compass over square, with openwork letter "G" between; upper ends of compass engraved with trefoil decoration, blade of square with scroll and trefoil decoration. Reverse inscribed "R. Sullivan/ W.M. 1949" across back of square. Hallmarks on reverse of compass, "H & R" in three conjoined circles, anchor, lion passant, and "Z", Birmingham 1949-50; lion and "Z" repeated on reverse of square, and also stamped "925" and "I", Dublin 1950. Suspension loop at top with ring in it, original blue suspension string with hook-and-eye fastening.
