Inverted pale green half-penny postage revenue definitive issue stamp of Edward VII at top right. Circular cancellation "Newmarket-on-Fergus/ Co. Clare/ PM/ 8 15/ MR 9/ 11". Addressed to Miss Ivy Howden, 18 Livingstone Terr., Leeman Rd., York, from Ben; message settling down in Ireland, like it, but very quiet at night. Pencil dealer's marks "Eire/ Co/ Clare/ £3.50" at top right.
