Cup, silver. Plain goblet bow; stem has beaded ring at top below bowl and at centre, widening to form foot with beaded outer edge. Gilded interior of bowl. Engraved, "The Royal Irish Constabulary/ Adare District Force/ Presented by/ T.R.Hs Prince & Princess Gustaf Adolf/ of Sweden & Norway/ June 1905." and "Winner/ [column 1] 1905 Limerick/ 1906 Adare/ 1907 Limerick/ 1908 Newpallas/ 1909 Bruff/ 1910 Limerick/ 1911 Limerick/ [column 2] 1912 Limerick" Row of five marks, grouped one and four, from left to right "D H/ C H" (D & C Houle?) in the lobes of a quatrefoil, a lion passant, leopard's head, "C" and young head of Victoria [London 1858-59]
