Release, manuscript.. Release, dated 3rd Aug. 1920, between John William Sparling and Christopher D. Sparling. Releasing parties from agreement made when John a minor, in re their father's estate. Signature of John witnessed by John J. Dunne, Assistant to MacKenzie & Skehan, solicitors 113 and 114 St. Stephen's Green and Annie Gaffney, typist, with applied red paper seal next to John's signature. Single sheet folded in half to form four pages; first three printed with red margins on all four sides and with blue lines; fourth blank but annotated with contents on one quarter after having been folded twice. Stamp duty embossing at top left of first side ,; red four lobes with crown at centre, with "20" over, "12" to left and "8" to right , with "Ten/ Shillings" below. Pencil marks next to stamp "Limerick 10/8/20/ 10/- Cl O'S". Left margin rubber stamped with ms. additions giving date etc. of entry into Registry of Deeds, Dublin, signed Mark Leonard and initialled "AR".; at bottom "126/ RJB/ JC". Right side damp stained causing red ink of margin to run. Annotated wrapper has at bottom "F.M. Fitt & Co.,/ Solicitors,. Lower Mallow Street,/ Limerick" crossed out in pencil with "Mathews" above in pencil. Oval rubber stamp "Registry of Deeds/ Dublin" on outer ring "[222]/ 8 Sep 1920/ 9/3" at centre. Watermark "Hodgkinson & Co."
