View over the bay with row of houses and road in foreground and right side; a horse and trap without driver stands in the road in the foreground, with two men to the left, further up the road another trap drives towards camera; other side of bay with houses in background. Reverse printed in black; "Post Card" at centre top, with short double underlining and vertical division lines below; to left "For Inland Postage this Space, as/ well as the back, may now be/ used for communication./ For Foreign Postage the back only/ (Post Office Regulation)"; "The Address only to be/ written here." to right. Pale green half penny definitive issue Postage Revenue stamp of Edward VII at top right. Three circular cancellations; "Kilkee R.S.O./ 5 PM/ AU 11/ 05/ Co. Clare" twice over stamp; "Carrigaholt/ A/ AU 11/ 05" to left of centre line. Addressed to Master J.F. Dixon, P.O.S. Boy's Home, Swords, Dublin, from J.W., message "How are you enjoying yourself". Pencil dealer's marks; "Clare" at top left; "£6" at bottom right of centre.
