Print; Sarsfield; "After the original picture in the possession of Sir Charles Bingham Bart at Caslebar [Castlebar]/ in the County of Mayo, in the Kingdom of Ireland". "Mylady Bingham Pinxit", M.A. Bregeon/ Fe. Tilliard Sculpsit". Head and shoulders portrait of Sarsfield in armour inside an ornate wreathed frame, titled above "An Sairsealaigh Trein"; the frame rests on a pedestal on which is a suit of armour at right and a helm and shield engraved with verse on Sarsfield; on front of pedestal is a short account of the man; resting against the pedestal at centre a shield with a single fleur-de-lis, with coronet crest with helm rising from it and a bent arm gripping a sword above; motto "Muire & brem/ cildara lin" around; at bottom of pedestal two dogs, either side of shield. Platemark on paper. Mounted on a light card border. Pencil inscription of reverse at bottom "b/-" and "237" in a circle at top left under border.
