Medal silver and gilt; circular with short protruding cross arms; suspension hole at top with ring through. Obverse; at centre a raised gilded dome in the form of a football, surrounded by olive branches, with zig-zag engraving round the edges. Reverse engraved "M. F. C'ship/ 51/ Treaty- Sarsfield". Hallmarks at bottom; set of three Hibernia, Harp and "J" for 1951; over "B.M. & Co"
