Reverse printed in pale green; at centre top Valentine's Series/ Famous/ throughout/ the/ world/ Printed in Scotland.", with the word throughout printed across the front of two tangential globes showing the continents; "Post" to left and "Card" to right of previous; up left edge "Valentine Publisher"; box for stamp at top right corner , with "2" in top left corner. Addressed to Dr. J. Murray, The Valley, Roscrea, Co. Tipp, from Olive; message thanks for card and "We had a long letter from Dick today he was all through the great battle and got off without a scratch, tho' all the officers but 5 were killed or wounded". Unposted; no trace of stamp or cancellation. Pencil dealer's marks; "Clare" at top left and "60p" at bottom right.
