Postcard, b/w, gloss; title at bottom left "The Strand Kilkee". View of the town from beach level with sea at right; the beach is almost deserted with less than ten people on it. Reverse printed in green; at centre top "Valentine's Series" with below that "Famous/ throughout/ the/ world/ Printed in Scotland", with the word "throughout" printed across two tangential globes showing the continents; "Post" to left and "Card" to right of previous; vertical centre line below globes; "Valentine's Dublin" up left edge. Green halfpenny stamp of George V, first half-profile issue at top right. Very faint and illegible cancellation. Addressed in pencil to Joseph Halpin Esq. (K.B), Gowran Hall, Sandycove, Co. Dublin, from Matt Ryan, Kilkee 24/7/13; message weather good. Pencil dealer's marks at top right of centre "Clare" and bottom right of centre "£1".
