Postcard, colour, matt; titled at top centre "O'Connell Monument, Ennis". View of the monument from the front, taken from up one of the streets leading to it; shops on either side; at least eight pedestrians on left pavement,; in road a man in a bowler leading a donkey cart towards camera, with six other pedestrians on road; on right pavement at right edge of picture a woman in a shawl stares at camera while further up the street four or five pedestrians are on the pavement. Reverse printed in black; "Post Card./ The address to be written on this side." at centre, with a vertical division line below to the left of centre; up right edge "Printed in Great britain. Valentine's Series"/ Write here for inland postage only".; box for stamp at top right corner. Pencil dealer's marks "Clare" at top left and "£8" at bottom to left of centre. Unposted and unused.
