View of O'Connell St. looking north taken from in the street, just south of the George Hotel; cars are parked along both pavements and one horse and cart is moving away from the camera and is more or less level with one moving towards camera, there is no other traffic on the street but several people on the steps of the hotel and two women on the opposite pavement. The front has a pen inscription above the title, "Stay here" with curved arrow to the front door of the hotel. At top of the front is the mirror image of a postmark from another piece of mail.
