Medal, white metal. Orange medal, "The Glorious Memory of King William III" inscribed around a statue of William on a horse on a pedestal with the date 1690; in smaller letters around the statue, "Boyne", "No Surrender" , "Aughrim"; on base of pedestal "I.C.Parkes, F". Reverse; an open bible, with divergent rays, within a triangle with "Order/ Love/ Truth" around the three sides; outer garter inscribed "Queen and Constitution", with an imperial crown at top above the triangle. A suspension hole has been punched through near the rim for suspension; through this is an iron split ring, with ring sewn to a silk? ribbon. Ribbon of a length for wearing around neck; two vertical blue stripes on a yellow background; the ribbon is very faded, retaining its true colour inside the folds and is almost worn through at the neck.
