Medal, gold. Shield shaped outline with scroll work on the sides and base. On both sides are centrally placed raised shields, of different shape; in the one is inscribed "Limk./ Leader/ Cup/ 1926" and on the other "6 Miles/ won by/ P.J. Kelly. Integral ring at top for hanging, in which is a link for suspension. Hallmarked on the scroll work on the Limerick Leader side; to left of centre "J.W.T"; to right four marks, reading from top to bottom "U", an anchor, ".375" and "9", Birmingham assay office 1919-20. Below the marks is scratched "1[or7]26L".
