Postcard, b/w, matt; titled at bottom left "West End, Kilkee, Co. Clare." View shows the curve of the bay with sea at right, with two rows of bathing huts in the foreground and the town rising above the bay on low cliffs in the background; a woman is looking towards camera in the foreground and two solitary individuals are strolling on the beach; the right end building in the row has a vertical arrow pointing to it from above. At bottom right of picture is "7155. J.V.[in a circle]" which is the Valentine mark, but the card does not bear their imprint. Reverse printed in brown "Post Card/ Printed in Scotland" at centre top with dividing line below; "P.Dold & Sons, Kilrush" up left edge; "British/ Manufacture." at top left; left of centre "This space may be used for Communication"; to right "The Address to be written/ here"; box for stamp in top right corner with "7" in its top right corner. In address space in ink is "The Links/ E". Unposted. Pencil dealer's marks "Clare" in top left corner and "[pound sign]2" to left of centre at bottom.
