Postcard, colour, glossy, white margin across bottom with title at centre "O'Briens Tower, Cliffs of moher, Co. CLare, Ireland." View shows the tower from close up, with two people at the top and a group of four just arriving. Reverse printed in grey; at bottom left a rectangle with an outline map of Ireland with a dot to locate the view; to right of previous "O'Brien's Tower: Perched at the edge of the/ towering Cliffs of Moher, has been renovated as an/ Information Office and Observation Post. The/ Tower was built originally by Cornelius (Corney)/ O'Brien in 1835 and today it gives visitors/ magnificent views along the west coast of Ireland. Adjacent to the Tower, thousands of seabirds nest/ along the Cliff face." five lines for address to right ; box for stamp at top right; the format of this card is very like John Hinde's and is possibly an early version. A stamp has been removed, taking with it most of the cancellation; all that remains of the place name is the final four letters,"ruis" and "....air" suggests it is in Co. Clare. Addressed to Mr. Jimmy Conaulty, C/o Priory Lodge, Grove Ave, Blackrock, Co. Dublin, from Pauline and Derry; message weather poor foods and drink good.
