Axehead, stone, polished. Limestone, dark grey to black. Flattened oval cross- section, with one apex almost flat. The rounded butt is battered and chipped. One edge is slightly convex, round and entirely polished; the other is slightly concave, nearly flat and polished only at the corners. Both faces are polished only towards the edges, and one is scored longtitudinally with grooved lines. The cutting edge is slightly convex and chipped from use.
