Whiskey jar, ceramic. Transfer printed in black, "J.&J. O'Byrne" twice on opposite sides below the shoulder. Half oval flat projection with vertical perforation through near base on one side, for tap; conical top, with short neck and bulbous collared rim, with internal threading for screw top. Clear salt glaze on body, brown glazed above the collar. No maker's stamp.
