Postcard, colour, matt. White margin at bottom, captioned "King John's Castle and River Shannon, Limerick." Reproduction of a painting by Anne Tallentire; shows the castle and the eastern two spans of Thomond Bridge, the Toll House and the tower of St. Munchin's; in the foreground two angling cots are moored near the Clare side; flight of four gulls at right of picture. R/ printed in red and grey; bottom left a grey rectangle with circles in diagonally opposite corners, linked by a horizontal line- a spool of film- with "John Hinde/ Original" in the rectangle; in red to right of rectangle "King John's Castle, Limerick, Ireland".; below that in grey "Reproduced from an original Oil Painting/ by the Irish School of Landscape Painting./Printed and Published by John Hinde Limited, Cabinteely, Co. Dublin, Irish Republic."; "2AV8" at top left; rectangle for stamp top right; 5 horizontal lines for address. Unposted and unused. The card is slightly scuffed at bottom right of the reverse.
