View from the Clare side north of the bridge; the Shannon occupies the foreground, the eastern five spans of the bridge are shown, with the Castle in the background; the Toll House is near the left margin and the spire of St. John's Cathedral is visible in the distance near the right edge; St. Mary's tower is just right of centre. Reverse is printed in dark brown; "POST CARD at centre top, partially underlined with a central vertical line running from the underlining; to left of line "This space may be used for communication"; to right "The address only to be written here"; rectangular box for stamp at top right corner. Unposted and unused.
